3 Is A Wonderful Number

I was around 16 when I realized that I was attracted not only to men, but to women as well. It wasn't until I was around 24 and dating my current boyfriend (of 11 years, no plans for marriage) that I even considered the possibility of being in a relationship with two people at the same time. My boyfriend and I believe strongly that since we were so up-front and understanding with one another, and believe strongly in open communication, that a triad could really work for us. It was a very exciting idea, and a year or so after we decided to open our hearts to a third, a female friend that we'd known and grown closer to agreed to join our relationship. The three of us dated for 9 months, and although it indeed had its ups and downs, my bf and I learned so much about what we want in a partner, and made so many amazing memories with her. I especially loved waking up in the morning to the man that I love on one side of me, and on the other, a beautiful, curvy woman. Although many nights I wished our queen was a king-sized bed, I can think of very few complaints about the whole thing. I loved the three of us snuggling on the couch watching movies, or when we went camping together, and especially when we went to that concert in Vancouver and shared a hotel. Oh and showering together (though a little squishy) will always be one of my very favourite things! She parted ways with us when she told us that she had been having secret encounters with men, and felt too terrible about having gone behind our backs to continue with the triad. We agreed it was for the best, and we are still friends to this day. My bf and I have not found another women since that we clicked with as well as we did with her, but I truly look forward to the day that we do.
