Why "precious" And Experience Project? Let Me Explain...

This is one of those open letters intend to describe what this group... and what this film... is all about.

About a month ago, the team behind "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire" reached out us here at EP.  Presented by Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry, "Precious" is a vibrant, honest and resoundingly hopeful film even though it may not seem that way from viewing the trailer.  Don't believe me?

"Precious" is the a story of the human capacity to grow and to overcome the obstacles -- physical, mental, emotional, environmental -- that are placed in front of us.  The story revolves around Claireece "Precious" Jones and the film itself has been taking the film festival circuit by storm.  Many people compare this little film's path to that of "Slumdog Millionaire" -- pluck from obscurity because it just, no two ways about it, reaches out and touches people right in their hearts.

The team behind "Precious" know the EP  community well and reached out to partner with us to not only spread the word about this new movie, but to ask our community members -- people just like you -- do you know "Precious?"
