This is one of the more controversial topics out there, and a lot of people react to my firm belief in pro-choice as me being a baby killer.
1. I never had an abortion
2. I never will
If another woman is going to have one/has had one or would have one: I STRONGLY feel that is her choice for her body and her own business. I feel very strong about politicians not getting involved with my body.
I think there are horrible reasons to go through with such a procedure that to me justify abortions completely. Rape. ******. embryo deformities.
My mother carried a still baby for the whole 9 months because she couldn't find an abortion clinic where she was living at the time. She knew the was no hope of survival in the first tri-mester, and after 7/8 months she was carrying a still baby. This was about 18 years ago but it's still very hard for her o ever talk about 'the brother I almost had'. When I was young I got really mad at her because I wanted to see what the baby looked like, and they took no pictures. But of course not...
I wish for her sake she had been able to have an abortion. She had gone through 9 months of pregnancy, and labor for nothing but a dead baby and many emotional/physical problems.
I know I personally would never have an abortion, maybe only if I was raped and got pregnant. If I were to accidentally get pregnant while on birth control and decide between the father and me not to carry it, I would ultimately look for an adoptive family. And that's just my personal choice. I'm not ever going to expect other women to follow this choice or tell the what they should do in that situation.
If there aren't abortion clinics, some crazy women and girls will find other more dangerous and illegal means to have one. Coat hangering is not made up. Neither is stepping on the stomach, or drowning babies and burying them and the many horrific means women will go to just to get rid of their unwanted babies. Including various homeopathic/old wife-tale ways to kill the unborn.
Anti-abortion?? DON'T HAVE ONE!

 Feeling weird | Posted Oct 9th, 2008 at 3:03PM Yeah weird censor moment :P I agree with you. If someone is anti-abortion, don't have one. Don't come calling me a baby killer just because I'm pro-choice and have had an abortion. I'm not going around thinking to myself, "Hmm, I have nothing to do, I think I may go have an abortion today." I don't put down a person who is pro-life and I don't push my pro-choice beliefs onto someone who's pro-life. And I expect the same respect in return. |

You are pro-the decision to pay to have your unborn child murdered. I know everyone likes to say "its my body, its my choice" Thats really cool that you have a body with two heartbeats...oh wait thats because its another body INSIDE YOUR BODY. Stop lying to yourself, call it what it is, and if you can still look at yourself in the mirror after making the decision to murder your child go right ahead. |
