I can't help it... just comes out! You know when someone falls in the store and you know you should run over but instead a giant laugh comes out? Or in a funeral when you know that tears should be coming down and you remember something funny that person did and burst into laughter? It happens, I hope to all of us, just means we are human.

I know the innapopriateness you talk about. I just think it's a way of our mind to avoid upset feelings. After a while, it becomes habit and instantaneous that we even skip the first step where we feel concern for another person. It's a scary habit to form.

Well I want to laugh when someone falls but I first see if their hurt,if their not hurt then I'll laugh quietly if their strangers if I know them I laugh a little louder.Years ago when my husband was adding a roof to the porch he was building he fell through the boards(thats all he had up at the time)our children laughed and laughed at their dad,but I got after them and told them you should have checked to see if he had broken something first, then laugh if he had'nt broken anything,to this day they still laugh about that, hehe.
