for most all of my life I did not feel valued, much loved or of great importance to anyone nor rare, unique or to be treated with care
To be given the gift of being "precious" to someone and valued is truly what I have waited a lifetime for...
It isn't just a word, a pet name, a label, a sweet nothing.....it is so much more than that to me.....

But you are not invisible to me. Understanding that life was a less than "complimentary," for lack of a better term, when did you first get called "precious" in a manner that really mattered to you? Can you share more (if you feel comfortable)?   |

EPjake......I'm honored! although I no longer aspire to being "invisible"...nor at this point a "wife" ....my screen name is a reminder of from where I came and what crafted me into the woman that I am today. If not for that less than "complimentary" time I would not have been so profoundly impacted by being "precious" to someone. I have given the analogy of breathing fresh air.....to truly appreciate it you have had to have tasted the smoke in your lungs....IF not for the acrid air.....I would not be able to breathe so deeply now. That someone that first called me precious.....I met on EP......I will leave out the details but it is a wonderful story.....we believe it was fate, destiny and divine ...not by chance.....not your typical internet connection nor intention of a connection.....very out of character for both of us......and quite miraculously we lived literally within miles from one another His hands have wrapped around my face, he has stared into my eyes, entertwined with my soul and willed me to visiblity. He tells me that I am more precious than gold.....that simply by being ......by existing..... I am precious. He has given me worth and has made me understand that I am valuable and deserve to be loved....and cherished....no matter with who or what or where I find myself...I am visible and precious It has been a significant healing......to wholeness..... EP.....being the vehicle to that healing.....to a connection....to an understanding......I will forever be grateful IW.....who is no longer invisible +2 nods |

Experience Project is still a new place for me (hi!), but other networks have brought me close to some really important people in my life. I met a woman who once was a lover and is now one of my best friends through a "missed connection" on Craigslist. I mean, what if she hadn't seen my posting? Very easy to do, really. What are the chances of two individuals meeting and being so close through a medium that didn't exist for us 20 years ago? I love your story. Thank you! |
