No Grumbling????? Be Serious!

OK..so now, I'm in my third week of studying the Bible and I'm already being tested!
The thanksgiving lesson was a reminder and I was able to apply it fairly easily. And then, Paul hits me with the whammy.
You are to serve God without 'grumbling or questioning'. The questioning part, not easy but, with faith...possible.
BUT, no grumbling?????
As you can see from this post, I'm STILL grumbling (I'm grumbling about NOT grumbling!!!!!)
This is going to take a lot of work!

Your analysis is spot on, BB. Yes, we are not expected to never feel these emotions only that we are not to surrender to them.
In the context of the text, I think Paul also means that grumbling should not be vocalised because it has the power to poison the environment.
Thank you for reading and sharing. While the realisation is there, reading comments like yours makes me concretise it.

Agreed..and now, I have to be more conscious of my actions and the worst part...no more 'pity parties!' Darn it! I used to love those!

lol everyone grumbles occasionally. the lesson is for us to just avoid it as much as possible.
