Just... Sad

I think that people are ******* awful to each other, and unfortunately Gaza is case in point. When the Germans walled jews into the ghetto, the world paid attention.

Why not now?

You don't know how to take a hint do you? And you don't know how to be civil and respectful on another person's post. You should have just left it alone ages ago. Blustering in here like you're the be all and end all and patronising me doesn't do a lot toward making me want to listen to you. And it doesn't do a lot toward impressing me with your social skills.

So I'll be blunt. You are not welcome any more on this experience, or any other that I have shared. Don't post, don't comment just take your own self righteousness and enjoy it alone. Or, more to the point, without me.
Gosh, you're a tad thin-skinned, methinks. I never said X good, Y bad. That's your oversimplification and a weak attempt to sway the discourse. I said your comparison between the Warsaw Ghetto and Gaza was ill-informed, wrong and dangerous. Dangerous because people may mistake your sympathies with informed fact.

Firstly, you're not sorry, so don't be facetious.

Secondly, you're simplifying a rather complex issue. Yep, Jews good, arabs bad, arabs deserve what they get right? Arabs are terrorists. Wah wah american bs.

The only thing we agree about is that people should be paying attention.

So if you feel differently about this issue than I do, then don't assume you can, or even have the right to 'school me about it'. Don't try to talk down to me, use backhanded comments to insult or demean me, and certainly don't bluster in here full of your self thinking that your opinion needs to be heard here.

Go share your own experience if you're that invested in the situation.
Sorry, but while you're entitled to your opinions, you're not entitled to change history or facts. Making any comparison between the Holocaust, which is the unquestionably the most horrific and barbaric event in history, and the troubles of a people who have chosen terror as a means to a goal, is wrong AND, yes, dangerous.
Obfuscating the issue with nonsensical comparisons only makes intelligent people tune out, which is not what anyone should do. That's the one thing you said that did make sense.

What you seem to be misunderstand is the reason for my comparison.
I want people to stop and think about the cost of human life. I want people to consider the very human price of all of this.
Hamas in this case has not acted for no reason. Israeli people are 'reclaiming' land all over the west bank, settling in areas where they shouldn't be and trying to push Palestinians out of their homes.
Mistaken? Maybe on some level. Dangerous? Certainly not. People need to be shocked out of thinking that conflict is normality.

It is stupid to assume that Israel has just provocation for what they are doing.

It is stupid to assume that 'politics costs lives'. This is a way to write off what is happening to real individuals.

I don't want your excuses, I want you to stand up and think about what is happening, put yourself in the position of both sides, and feel empathy, and then shame for your own indifference.

Excuse making comments are not welcome on this post.
While the situation in Gaza is indeed sad, the comparison with Warsaw and WWII is mistaken and dangerous. The purpose of the Warsaw Ghetto was to confine Jews in one place so as to deport them to extermination camps. Gaza has been under the control of Hamas since approx. 2005, with no Israeli occupation whatsoever. Unfortunately for the Palestinian people and for Israel, Hamas continued to perpetrate indiscriminate and unprovoked rocket attacks aganst Israeli civilians. That is the reason for the continued bloodshed.
Sad but true.

Gaza brought alot of that on them selves. They kept sending rockets over the border into Isreil. They were told before all this started it they didn't stop it ,they Isreil would declare war on them. They didn't stop and Isriel declared war. This has been going on for a few years. It was going to happen sooner or later. Gaza did start it. It is a sad thing that politics has to cost so many lives. It is sad that Politics is still costing lives. Always has and sadly always will.

because the Jews didnt have the backing of America and Britain. Israel does.
