I'm recently widowed with 3 children. I was with my partner for 17 years but he had cancer for 5 years before he passed. He was doing really well until the last 2 week's. He was my life and I am lost without him. We got married on a Tuesday and by the Friday he passed away. I am still trying to get my head around it all..It is hard to talk to some people about it. I have some good friends and family that have been there for me through it all but they can never understand it completely

    Hi, I lost my husband a month ago, we were together 40 years, we had just retired, and had it all planned, then in January he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, he had a terrible 6 months of pain, doctors, and hospitals. He was such an active man always going off to the Scottish Mountains, that was his place. I do know how you feel, I thought it would be a good idea to go out today, it's such a lovely day, how wrong could I be, I've done nothing but cry, it really hurts to see couples enjoying themselves. I agree with you people don't really understand, they all end up saying the same things, which don't make you feel any better. I absolutely ache inside, the pain is unbearable some days, I with people would stop telling me it will get better, until your there they don't really know how you feel.
