Everyone keeps telling me "whatever you want" all I want is my best friend back.

My heart goes out to you. My husband has been gone just a bit over two weeks, and I find myself saying, "I want my baby back," repeatedly through the day. I am sure the emptiness will lift. I have to believe that. Our husbands would not want us to remain unhappy. Reach out to your friends and family. Asking is the hard part, but if they are anything like my circle, they will come through for you.

My condolences on your loss. The numbness will lift with time. It is very hard to see the end of the tunnel from your vantage point. I have been bereft for 10 months now and the numbness is still there, however the magnitude is a bit less and it seems to improve a little bit each week. So I am hoping to feel the full sunshine in the future.

What has not gone away is the emptiness and the void. It still looms large and infinite. I am told that will also heal as well, but from where I stand it still is unbridgeable gap!
