I Am Scared of Clowns
I have been afraid of clowns since my first birthday party. My grandmother (dad's mom) thought it would be funny to dress up like a clown, jump out of a closet, grab me, and throw me in the air. It took me 45 minutes to calm down, and I would not let her near me until all the make-up and stupid clothing was gone.
I have never liked them since. I have punched a clown at a picnic, had a panic attack at the circus. I had a teacher who had copies of Degas paintings in his class, so they switched my teacher, because I refused to go into his room. They took me to a doctor who had clown statuettes, and I refused to stay for the appt. Once a clown walked into a restaurant where I was eating, and I became hysterical, screaming, and trying to hide under the table. I was 22.
I don't even like seeing how many times I've typed the word here.
p.s. its kind of a sick joke to have a clown as the pic for the group, i almost didn't join because it freaked me out
