Scared of Decapitation By Ceiling Fan!!!!!!!!!

I'm afraid of decapitation by ceiling fan too!    We have this ceiling fan over our large table in the dining room of our house, and you have to pull the cord to turn it on and  off. I'm kinda short, so I have to climb on a chair to reach it.  When I get up there I'm so afraid  that I duck my head down (though I'm laughing at myself as I type this) and pull the cord so as to no get decapitated  by the ceiling fan.   I didn't know anyone else had this fear!  Heck I'm just going to copy this and make it one of my experiences too!

unless your fan is made out of knife blades I don't think you have to much to worry about. I have a friend that is really super tall and another friend that had really low ceilings. Yeah, they didn't agree too much! The fan hit him in the middle of the head and left a knot but he was fine!!

OMG! Emerald, you must be so glad your daughter was wearing a helmet and the protective neck gear! *phew* :D

Ya'll are watching too many movies! My daughter's head was pinged into the ceiling fan by a teen bouncing her playfully in the air. It only hurt for a minute! ;) But she still has her neck and head!

I think you and Sezziy need helmets! And maybe weight belts to stop you from accidentally floating upwards! Clearly, ceiling fans are more dangerous than commonly perceived.
