I Am Scared of Getting Hurt Again

I met someone online he lives quite a distance away.......

I am recently seperated and was not looking for anything serious just to fool around. I met someone and just in the course of a few days we are getting pretty intimate.

The thing is I am seperated and my last affair ended horribly so, I am apprehensive on where this is going and if this is even real. Any advise on what or how to deal with these feelings I am having.

To be honest the way I feel for him is surprising to me and I cant believe that I have fallen so hard. I am just not wanting to get hurt again and I am guarded in allowing him to just love on me.

    Whereas face-to-face relationships rely on body language, tone of voice, facial expressions, and other cues to indicate the truthfulness or deceptiveness of the other party, online relationships rely on e-mails, intuition, and yes, tone of voice sometimes.



    If you don't take online relationships seriously, you're a wise woman. Real relationships can grow from online relationships, but, unless there is some deeper love that predates the online relationship, it is doomed not to be taken seriously by one or both parties.



    So long as you put your own emotional needs first and don't get wrapped up in anything fantastical or melodramatic, you'll be fine.

    Sometimes online relationships work :) you just have to be careful that the person u have fallen for is real and not just a figment of their own imagination. However in saying that there seems to be a few people on this site who have made really good friends and partners....can I ask if it's someone from this site?

    At the end of the day... u have to ask yourself is this what u want? Unfortunately that's a question even with all the advice in the world that only u can answer. Good luck....
