Is The Second Love Ever As Good As The First?

People say you can't be in love at as young of age as 15. I think that is a lie. I fell in love with my hs boyfriend just after two months of dating. I was 15. We dated until I was 20. But in those 5 years he had cheated on me 6 different times. Cheating was the only thing that was wrong in our relationship. We never had stupid arguements, we always had good conversations. He was funny, made me feel special, he was gorgeous, I loved his family, as he loved mine. I seriously can say I thought I would end up with him, even after all the cheating. The love I felt for him was so strong. We broke up a year and a half ago. about 9 months after we broke up I began dating someone else. This new guy could not have treated me any better. I honestly don't think I had ever met anyone as thoughtful as him. He too was gorgeous, funny, carefree, goofy, and so much more. He met everything on my "checklist". However, 2 months later I broke up with him. The feelings I had for him were NOTHING compared to my first love. I also had the opportunity to get to know a bunch of other really great guys. Guys that sincerely cared for me. But I never was into them, as they were into me.

As my ex asked me why I would break up with him, the only answer I could say is that I didn't care for him in the deep way I did for my hs boyfriend. With my hs boyfriend it took only weeks to have strong feelings, and only short of 2 months to feel as though I was in love. With my newest ex, I didn't feel that.

I am wanting to feel in love again, like I did with my hs boyfriend. Is this even possible? Or are those feelings only going to stay with my ex?
