I Think So

I'm still not sure that I know what love is. My mom keeps telling me I'm just an overdramatic teen, but I think she just doesn't get it. If i didn't really love this guy, then i'd hate to know what it feels like to love and then get your heart broken. :/

Never be afraid to put yourself out there to love or feel love. No one ever said love doesn't hurt. It does. So do friendships too. If we live in fear to experience things or life, then we aren't living. Learn to sort of love the hurt and healing process and move on. It's what makes us strong individuals. Just always be cautious who you love and exposing all of you, until you feel comfortable with the person, but never hide who you are. Tell yourself daily, you are smart, beautiful and alive and be grateful for living it.

'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I had the same issue as you do, then about 13 months ago, I met my lovely girlfriend of ten months and counting. I was so afraid to open up to her after having my heart stepped on by my ex-girlfriend who lied to me a lot and broke up with me about 18 months ago. I took a chance on her, and we fell in love. My advice, don't be afraid to get hurt, because it is better to try and maybe have a good time together than to not do anything and spend the rest of your life wondering what could have happened.
