Piercing Pain

I can see the pain pierce through his body, his soul.

Everytime I flinch away from him, everytime my eyes wander to another guy, everytime I squeak. Everytime I act like he's going to hit me.

It scares me, to see the reason he's so hurt is because of me. Because I won't stop. Because no matter how I hard I try, no matter how comfortable I feel, my body doesn't trust anyone.

I'm scared to love, because it hurts to see yourself causing the person you love to be in pain.
