I have always believed what that story says,I like it when the author says"you will forget all of this at birth"which means reincarnation and I certainly believe in it and always have, although having been raised in the catholic faith which denies it for many reasons,my parents were not staunch church goers and did not deny my beliefs and in that I was lucky.Thank you for sharing that story, the author also mention I believe tapping into these memories, they can be accessed while meditating, in dreams or they can come to you spontaneously,I have clear memories of my last moments in my previous life, since I was child. Your story is very encouraging.Take care.

I have similar memories too, Berangere. The first time I read this list I was in awe of how much it resonated with me.

I hope you didn't hurt yourself when you tripped ;-) So glad you found the story. It has always seemed to me that we do find things when we are ready and need to know....or as the old quotes say..."when the student is ready the teacher appears". Cherie Carter-Scott is a great teacher with her list of rules!

the way that people treat u is a reflection upon them, as being a human being. it isn't a reflection upon......you.
our primary reason in life is to of help to others. if U can't help them, the least that U can do is not hurt them.

Nice text! But i dont see that rule 8 is tru .tools and resources you need?
Well i guess that folks like me got the cheap and crappy tools from a second hand store and "resources " from a scrap yard. Whilst others got that from a first class DIY store!
Sounds good if you lived in a communist country and the "leader" does his annual speech....."we are all the same blabla...." or you got appointments with a therapist who wants you out of depression or you attending classes for disabled and your teachers want you to belive that eeeverything is possible!
Well as i sayd nice text...but thats it

Nice post datura..its really wise words...I feel it takes sometime to implement...to believe that everything, good or bad happens for reason and it takes time to understand oneself and move forward inspite of the failures and circumstances which push us down. Life is beautiful if a person learns to smile inspite of his tears...

I love this quote "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, that is why we call it the present."

I love that quote too, Papri. Yes, it does take time, but is well worth the time and effort. I also like the quote "Change your mind and change your life". How we decide to look at things makes all the difference in the world.

I think it is always good to be open to new ideas and old. Whether it's Continental, Analytic, Classical, Chinese, or Indian. I especially enjoy Nahuatl poetry where Nezahuacoyotl talks about God, it's all grist for the mill.

Yes, the Nahuatl poetry is fascinating and it is still of great importance, for through it we can enter the minds and the hearts of other peoples in other places at other times. Well worth reading.

Oh, I meet so few people converse with Aztec poetry
As you will know poetry in the Aztec world was known as "flower and song," the Nahuatl (Aztec language) metaphors for art and symbolism. It was the highest art form and it often celebrated the transient nature of life on earth. The theme of cut flowers was regularly used to symbolize the temporary fragility and beauty of existence.
      I just love it!

Oh, yes. Aztec poetry makes rich use of metaphoric imagery and themes and are lamentation of the brevity of human existence, and the appreciation of the beauty of life. I particularly love this passage: Axcan cuan nonques tlalticpacchanéhque
      de non altepeme tlami quitzetzeloa
neca tliltic amo cuali nemiliz Carrancista,
      noyolo pahpaqui
      ihuan itech nin mahuiztica,
      intoca netehuiloanime-tlatzintlaneca,
      ihuan nanmechtitlanilia
      ze páhpaquilizticatlápaloli
      ihuan ica nochi noyolo
      niquinyolehua nonques altepeme
      aquihque cate qui chihuazque netehuiliztle
      ipampa meláhqui tlanahuatil
      ihuan amo nen motenecahuilia
      quitlahtlaczazque
      in anmocualinemiliz.

    Well

I most emphatically agree with you! Simply beautiful and 100% true..and so doable with complete Loving from the inside out. You are always such a Blessing..but not underneath a pillow! Just growing like a gorgeous garden in plain sight. You always give such great gifts.

My belief is that we all come here to grow spiritually before we can go back home. For some of us this is 1st grade, others high school, and college and a few get to become masters.

Thank you! You always find a fantastic way to explain my beliefs...even better than I.

Be Blessed sweet spirit/soul. Hugs & Love, livingwell

Thanks for posting this list ... 10 very important rules to live by. And I really like the way you gave credit to the writer - too often, people plagiarize here on EP and it's tough to figure out whether the postings are original or stolen.

You're so right, Prince. And it has a lot to do with getting our ego and "self-importance" out of the way of our happiness and growth.
