I Am Still Shy

I have always been shy - about the way I look, how I feel, the way I talk, etc.

I think some things have changed with age  but I am still very shy.  I don't go out to clubs or bars - and I  only have a few friends but I don't go out.  So that means I don't meet guys anywhere but would really like to find someone that will be interested in the same things as me

I'm shy to but a good way for you to find friends is the next time u r out, just listen to the people around you. If you do then you can find out what that are like and if a conversation starts then you have an idea of what to talk about. That's the main way I keep from those uncomfortable 1word conversations

same with me I don't go out to clubs or parties - and I only have a few friends but I don't go out with them. So that means I don't meet guys but would really like to find someone that will be interested in the same things as me and doesn't mind me being quiet. I just started doing triathlons, which helps me talk to random people. I also have social anxiety which has held me back for years

I know what you're going through. Join clubs! it's honestly the best thing to do. It's far easier to break the ice with someone when you know you have something in common with them. For me, it's sports. My doctor has diagnosed me with social anxiety, which is basically extreme shyness, and playing soccer/hockey allows you to randomly talk about these sports with others. I excel at it too which boosts my low self-esteem by a significant amount. yeah, so find something you're good at, or simply join any club/sport you're interested in and try your hardest to be positive and outgoing. :)
