Still Single...

If anybody has a reason to be sick concerning this topic it's me. I'm 27 years old and aside from a couple of one, two night stands I've been single for, at least, 8-9 years. I've been asked why that's so but I'm a loss for words everytime I'm approached by that question. For as long as I can remember I have always been a gentlemen at heart when it comes to ladies first and such. However, it seems that ladies these days would rather have ******** that slam the door in their faces. I may not have things that other people don't but I'd like to think that personality overrides any objects as it has to do with having a car or a job. Maybe I'm old fashion for this day and age but I don't think that should matter because I believe it's all about who you are and not, what so many people seem to think, your occupation and/or car is.

If it makes you feel better I'm 30 (female) and single.
I've had boyfriends but they didn't turn into marriage.

I've dated jerks who I was attracted to, but they turned out to be jerks so I decided to go for the opposite. Then I started to date ugly guys who were desperate (I'm not saying you're ugly). But after a short while, when I started to feel like 'yeah, I could fall in love' - they left me too.
I'm not overweight, I think I'm ok looking. I'm educated and I work hard. I think for some people it's just not meant to be.
