Never Wanted To Marry By Default

I read today that there are 27 million single women in U.S.A. over 45 yrs. of age (includes widows, divorcees and never-married); this number is on the rise.  I was a widow by the age of 24 and chose not to re-marry.  I am happy with my decision to remain single; I never wanted to marry by default.  I raised four children ( my sister left me)  a career, own my home; my happiness-a full life and a full heart have been a part of my life without a live-in partner.  I have had good relationships; some men I have dated have remained dear friends.   I hope that my girls see you don’t need someone for financial security, or to have children with, but that marriage or a life partner is because you know your life will be better because of it.
