Being Normal Is Considered Skinny In My Family

I'm about 5'7" and weigh 135lbs which I don't really regard as "skinny". I happen to think my weight is pretty normal for a guy my height. But everyone in my family is overweight so they always make annoying comments about my weight.

My wife and son are "skinny" too so some of my relatives (including my mom) ask if my wife is feeding us enough. One time my mom actually complained to my wife that we are too skinny. Sometimes I feel like saying, "we are exactly the ideal weight for our height, it's you guys who are all fat and need to lose weight!"

Almost all of my relatives are at least 30 pounds overweight. In fact, I can't think of a single relative who is not overweight or obese. Even the kids are heavy. A couple of my nieces (who are around 6 to 8 years old) are seeing doctors because their weight is affecting their health. And they're worried about our weight?

I have one aunt who, every time she sees me, she asks if I lost weight. Even though I've been the same weight for 20 years. There's even a rumor floating around that I had some sort of cosmetic surgery done. It's really kind of humorous if you think about it. I'm the weirdo of the family because my weight is normal.
