I'm Always Impatient

Ever since I could remember, I have been a very impatient guy.  When I want something, I want it right then and there.  Waiting for even a few hours is out of the question.  Whenever I ask a friend if he/she wants to have dinner, (while we're hanging out), and he/she says "maybe in a while", I get really mad, because I don't want to wait...and eventually I just go alone to eat.

I have to wait 2 days before my dad buys me a new laptop...and I have been dreading every last minute.  I don't really care that much for a new one, I need it for school, but having to wait makes me very angry...I've been just looking for ways to get it quicker...to no avail.

This is how I am all the time..

I hate it, but can't help it.

I'm too embarrassed admit it to anyone.

I also am embarassed to admit it too. Not trying to say or think im number 1 and everything revolves around me but omg I cannot help it and after a while it gets me angry. Sometimes I try to think or do something that will take my mind off it and kill time but once I am done with doing w.e or uninterested in it and time flew by and I still have to wait it gets even worse..I hate it but I cant help it.

my ex has a simular behavior. I was with her so long that I saw it grew. I believe it to be mostly to do with habitual reaction that you have nursed over time and a perspective that you have supported. To change it you have to replace it reaction with something more positive. To change your perspective you need to understand that things are never usually a destination to get to but a path that others and yourself follow to get to a estimated destination. Once you understand that you aren't the center of the universe and that as you give outwardly all the while keeping things reasonable so that there is a tolerance for interruptions to happen.. You will be in a much better place.
