Each to their own ...

Just returned from a stay at a friend's house.

It is a very expensive house in the most exclusive part of town

Her furnishings are extremely  tasteful,  immaculate and very minimalistic.

Whilst there I felt quite awed though very nervous of inadvertently damaging the pristine cream decor.

But now I am so happy to be back home, greeted by my animals and back among my books, plants, lamps, rugs, cushions, paintings, photo's .. etc, etc

I really don't envy minimalistic anymore!

Yes and feel able to relax in comfy chair/sofa without feeling terrified of spilling a drink or dropping some food. I don't usually do either but some surroundings make me feel anxious that I will do both!!

I know it can be be beautiful and in theory minimalist appeals to me but I'd much rather visit with a friend in a warm and cozy home...especially with animals and kids and books etc. :)
