Wholly Broken

I've been broken for so long that I don't know what being whole feels like.  By now it would probably be uncomfortable as all get out.

I may be shattered, but I choose to dance among the shards of myself.  I can piece them together to create a new person, a stronger person.

I'm scarred.  I am often scared.  But still I choose to move forward.  Even when I break anew, I sit still, bleed for a bit...and get up and move forward again.

I am wholly broken, but in my brokenness, I am whole.

I wish I don't understand you but I really do. I am on he opposite side of the spectrum though, like in the movie 'Unbreakable' you were the one easily broken while I am Bruce Willis' character. I have always been careful about not hurting in relationships, opportunities and life experiences. I end up being hollow. I have no experience of my own to speak of I just refer to my friends experiences and stories of people around me. Pain is one of the strongest experience one can feel it may take long to go away but it changes you for the better. It makes you grow as a person in different levels. Whatever made you feel this way won't last that long if you just move forward. What you were a few years back is not what you are now this is something you'd probably charge to experience. <br />

A wise man said "You will regret things you didn't do more than the things you did" so it's great that you can still be whole after feeling broken. :)

and just remember, your friends are here when you feel any pieces coming loose. weez like glue hooka, we stick together

Funny you mention Phoenix....when I fled my toxic situation, I called it going Phoenix...for exactly that reason. So I totally agree!

Hey,you can always make a beautiful mosaic with those shards. Its fun to arise from the ashes like a phoenix. As my partner, says everyday above ground is a good day ! lol.
