sometimes i have gymnastics training in the morning. so i am awake and people know i am, so they can call me and i love to be able to rely on people like that, so i like to be able to do it for others. :)

I disagree with the "always an accomplishment" Amz. I used to work as a substitute school teacher. The gig meant if a teacher woke up at 4 a.m. too sick to come in, they could call an automated system for a substitute. If they liked a particular substitute, they could tell the system who they wanted.

The automated system would start calling substitute teachers at 5 a.m.

There was this one inner city middle school band director who thought I was the neatest guy ever. He was going through a bad period in his life, so he wanted me to fill in for him fairly often. One afterbiib, I'd called the automated system and put in for a day off.

Four in the morning the next day, I get a phone call from him.

"This better be important," I said in a sleepy fog.

It was important to him. I went back to sleep. First I had to explain I'd set up with the system not to call me. It was case of "get somebody else" for his assembled mob of raggamuffins and future felons.

Next time I filled in for him, one of his charming charges looked at me and moaned "Why you?

of course i dont always want to her from people that early, honestly i like my seep better,. but doing something thoughtful and helpful for somebody else is always an accomplishment.

Isn't there a point when you don't want to hear from people? It's hard for me to forget grocery shopping at 2 a.m. That was the hour the locals required the bars to close and I found myself with the zombie drunks trying to buy brains.
The supermarkets were also supposed to stop selling alcoholic drinks until 6 a.m. The zombie drunks would stagger up at 2:30-3 a.m. and try to pull a fast one for suitcase of Bud.

Do I want phone calls at the zombie hour? Let the answering machine get it.

i don't mind, i feel better during the day when i don't sleep in.
