Spiritual YesPeople have been looking for solutions to live a better life since people are people.
Different civilizations found different answers. Although they can be very similar to one another.
Some people may choose one path and stick to it. Although nowadays a lot of people prefer to take a bit of different things, different answers from different philosophies and make it their own. And also we shouldn't think of things in a very literal and "traditional" way. As for example ancient Greeks, in reality were a very new civilization with "young" ideas going through a "renaissance" of their own, absorbing a lot of ideas from the ancient Egyptians.
The philosophy that touched me more deeply has been the yoga path. But I also have been enjoying a bit of the Greek philosophy.
Recently I heard someone I consider wise saying he believes that in our society we only look civilized on the surface, but we are quite "barbaric" beneath the surface. I believe that makes sense and if more people were "spiritual" this would be a much better world. Spirituality I believe has a lot to do with how you interact with people, how you live your daily life.
We all have a light inside, and the more we act according to this light, which is who we truly are, the more spiritual we become. And the world becomes a better place.
Spirituality should not be underestimated. Even if you are surrounded by people that laughs about it. They may not understand now, but they will understand one day. It's about each one doing their "little part" to the world and a bit thing to yourself.
"to live is the act of tuning in a musical instrument, from outside to inside, from inside to outside" (Brazilian song)
(says someone that has a lot of tuning in to do) =)
