I Am Spiritual But Not Religious
I've tried a lot of religions. I was even baptized in a baptist church when I was 15, believe it or not. Didn't last though, because everything the youth minister said, I researched and I found him to be misleading with scripture. I called him on it with questions, quoting scripture that didn't fit what he was preaching. They don't like it when they are questioned in such a way. Gets them all flustered being told their wrong.
I got married the first time in a Catholic church. I even went through the confirmation. My two older kids were baptized in the Catholic church. I like the Catholic church actually, but still I question everything, so I don't believe in a large part of what they believe.
What I did like about their Confirmation classes is that they encouraged questions and answered them honestly. I remember a poor sweet nun pulling a question about sex out of the box of anonymous questions from us and turning all red as she answered it.
I call myself Pagan, because it's a general term for one that believes in multiple God's/Goddess' and earth based spirituality. I don't even fit in the category as most Pagans either.
I think too independently to stay within the lines of any religion.
