I am glad to know that you are a logical thinker and that know that 2+2 does not =5 just because some clergy told you so. As for me, I have an undergrad in religion from one of the more conservative evangelical universities. (That degree and $2.00 will get one a cup of coffee just about anywhere.) All of that stuff was rammed down my throat for many years until I started to do the math. It just does not add up for me, even though they present with some truth. Today I believe that there is a "Prime first cause" (I just do not see how one can get around that) that started things and generated the laws of physics that we use today. Follow those laws and do no harm to your neighbor(s) and your spirituality will take you to where you need to go. I think that I also would have to fall into the pagan category. That is my two cents.

Then join the emaculate custodians of God. Give no money , pray lone in your room, no church, and belive what you feel. Read more than the books of the Bible. Constitine left out so many books, books where Chist laughed.

i have two different thoughts for you on this. First I believe very similiarly except I think that all religion is just another way to control the masses as the pope is just as much a part of the elite world as GW Bush. I have turned completely to spirituality. Sylvia Browne wrote a lot of wonderful books but one in particular called out to me. Actually is a series of three books called Journey of the Soul. It really helped to guide me to find all my own personal answers. Absolutely fantastic and I recommend them to everyone. But just recently I was reading the website www.divinecosmos.com. David Wilcock's website. (he is on Ancient Aliens all the time) and he actually made some really amazing discoveries where he was able to combine science and spirituality in a way that makes a tremendous amount of sense.

I can see where you are coming from there. It's just been my experience that priests and nuns that I have met have been very humble nice people.

You seem like you might listen to Coast to Coast. Do you? I listen to the prerecorded ones.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading this. I was raised Catholic, but don't have all the same believes they do. I checked out different religions, but only took what I wanted & left the rest. I consider myself Pagan with the different Gods & Goddess & the earth based spirituality. I do believe we are all one with the Universe, so for me that means Mother Earth & Mother Mary (Goddess) are really one in each other & with all others, including us. I connect with different ones for different wants & needs even tho their one. Just like I connect with different people for different wants & needs. Just thinking out loud here.

I hate that religions can brainwash people so easily. A preacher can get his parish to give every last dime they have. Play on people fears and you have them in the palm of you hand. If you dont give to the church, then you are not doing your part and you will go to hell. If you dont go to church, your a sinner and you will go to hell. This is all BS, but I have seen it and heard it. There is a higher being but he sure the heck isnt sending me to a Hell because I am not going to church. Give me a break. To me its all about showing compasion and love to other people. The more you give the more you receive. I may be full of poo poo too, but I sure think that we are hear to learn how to grow the sould with love and not how much money we can give the church.

Love is surely what we should all want to see. Sad some try us religion to prey and take advanatage of those going through difficulties. Money should be focus as how people can express their love. Love is strong force of nature that moves people to want to come together for the cause unity hope, good well to all, thats something money cant touch or buy. Keep searching u will find, keep knocking it will be open. The truth can help free anyone who know how to apply it. Truth is not words alone but couple with action from what one learn from it this is what can free anyone who can apply it that knowledge without cost and love that grows daily from insight, understanding and the ability to make wise choices from meditating on what, we see, read, and hear. No one want a robot, or dog like person do things by commends. Everyone giving a choice to use their own thinking. If govt say we pay taxes follow their laws to live in their country we aby. Or move else where still find a match for our belief. Choice is fredom from enslavement of misbelief and ideas. Choice is always option. God want willing hearts not robots, make your decision urself that key to wise understanding and self decision. Why should we be govern or follow anyone?

Truth shall set anyone free, questions important, why children ask, we adults not different questions help us learn understand, compare. Help thoughts formmake mind meditate. Help us develop. Keep seek u will find keep knocking it will be open. The world is full of opinions and advice, roads of independent or dependent we are giving choices to make just as law govern life. So is the decisions we make. It can make us strong or destroy us. Why should we believe in things we cant see or understand completely. Is the mind really complex that reasoning is beyond us all?

I totally loved the song!! :D I like and totally respect the way you feel about this too.... It's a touchy subject for many but you shared your thoughts it in such a nice way I feel comfy responding to them.... :)

I was never raised with any sort of religion but I never felt like an atheist either...I think there is a LOT in the universe going on that I don't know about for a fact.. but heck.....People thought the world was flat at one time till they learned it wasn't... :D I'm open to the idea that there is always something more to learn and I keep my eyes and ears open to try and learn more when the opportunity is there.

I don't like it when folks try to save or convert me cause I'm fine with how I am and don't need to be saved. On the other side... I also LOVE the way some folks belief systems make them stronger and happier....I may not share in what they believe but I enjoy the results they get from thinking the way they do. I have Pagan friends in real time and have gone to their rituals and loved it!! They appreciate the planet and work to take care of it and that ROCKS in my book but I've met a few online who totally creeped me out too!! I guess it always comes back to there being good and not so good... in any group......

I have been inside a few Catholic churches and LOVE the stained glass windows! As long as folks don't beat me over the head with thinking they believe in the ONLY right way....I'm good with what they believe....

I don't really have any issue with any religions, because i see a little truths in each of them. Like you it's those who feel a need to rescue, save, and have that attitude that their way is the only way that I have an issue with. I think it's awesome when someone finds their spiritual calling whatever faith that happens to be.

Thanks for the comment Sie. As always, very insightful.
