What's It Like For You?

I am a 30 year old female living in New York City. I have never met another person who has been diagnosed with BPD. As you probably know, feeling that no one understands you is a big part of this illness.
I was very intrigued by this group, and I am curious to get to know others who are like me, and how they are coping.
The internet is FULL of sites, books, and tips for those who are "Dealing With" borderlines, for families and loved ones.... they often make people with BPD seem like horrible monsters. However, there are very few sites that acknowledge the fact that the ones who actually HAVE BPD are suffering, too!

I have bpd, add,am bipolar, have ptsd, anxiety disorders etc etc..they all seem to go hand in hand.I've yet to meet anyone in the flesh with bpd and agree all the online things posted portray us all as being complete psychopaths. Not true at all. It's a confusing and stressful disorder to have. Feel free to inbox me/add me,i'm happy to chat about my experiences.

I couldnt agree more. I read an article recently and all it went on about was that it is proven that family members of bpd suffer from depression. It made me so angry. I thought it was accusing ME for their unhappiness. But we are the victims here. I hate the word victim, but I cant think of a better word to use. Im 31, female, Irish. I have BPD. I have also never met anyone in any shape or form who suffers with this. You are not alone.

I have bi-polar, add, adhd, ocd, ptsd. That is a bad combination but, i am coping with it. All u need in my opinion is find someone u can talk to. Keep ur head up. If u wanna talk about anything in-box me.
