Surrounded By Beauty

"I am surrounded by beauty I have drawn to myself" is an affirmation that I have used for many years. I don't even remember where I first read it anymore, or if it just came to me. It helps me to remember that all the good things in my life, all the wonderful people, my gardens that I so love, and all the material blessings that I enjoy came to me because I was on a wave length to draw them to myself and appreciate them.

So often in life it is easy to become discontent with ourselves and our journey. But if we can remember that the beauty in our lives was drawn in by a beauty within us, it can help us to see and appreciate what we are blessed with in life and to see that we are far more empowered than we sometimes think.

My gardens exists because I had a dream, saw a possibility, and did the work to create them. It's that way with so many things in life. We have to do the work.We have to see the possibility. And when we have drawn in the beauty , it is good to acknowledge it and realize that we actually did draw it to ourselves by our thoughts and actions and the energy of our being.

very beautiful post:) you explained it in very simple manner that we humans are creators....the picture you create attracts the connoisseurs of that art:)

Thank you, Anya!

I love this post... So poetic and strong at the same time... And so true :)

Thank you so much, TmelessEyes!

Right now, I´m going through the darkest moment of my life and I cannot surround myself with outer beauty... But I can, and I do surround myself with the love I feel for my friends... It is such a lovely garden, and its beauty is keeping me alive! :)

I'm so sorry that you are facing your darkest moment, but I am pleased to hear that you realize you can still surround yourself with loveliness. It makes all the difference in the world to know and understand this. Big hug to you.

Thank you so much, Datura! *big hug*

Beautiful story.

Thank you, Cuitadella!

Hi Unshakable. Yes, it is. So many people don't really understand the Law of Attraction that I almost don't like to use the term anymore. People seem to think of it as a way to get a new car or parking space! They don't seem to realize we are attracting what comes into our life every moment of every day.

Its Law of Attraction.Visualising and attract. Thanks for sharing my friend.

It's so easy to forget the wisdom we know, Sophrai. I have to remind myself too!

Thank you so much for expressing this - and so beautifully. It's a great reminder of something I know inherently, and yet, in the hustle and bustle of "modern" life, keep forgetting. Thank you for the reminder.

Yes,c8lorraine, I love Shakti's work. I wrote a story about the book Creative Visualization a couple of years ago. I also love her book Living in the Light. She has had a huge influence on my life.

Long before "The Secret" became popular, a lady by the name Shakti Gawain wrote a book called Creative Visualisation. This book outlined how your philosophy works. I believe it is important to develop this habit especially for the times when life throws you a big *curveball* it is being able to recall our blessings which defines how we cope with these times.
thank you for the post as it served to remind me of this

I'm so sorry for your loss, Cherokee. It's a beautiful tribute to memorialize your father with living flowers that can also help to ease your pain with their beauty while you remember him. I'm sure your father is very proud of his wise and loving daughter.

I really liked your story. When my father passed away in June, I went out and bought flowers to plant in several pots, to memorialize his passing and help with my grief. I go out to the patio every morning and evening and have good thoughts about my father and it eases my pain. Beauty in flowers and nature in itself does so much for the soul! Thanks for reminding me of that....

Thank you, liquidamber. I find when things are not rosy, it is very important for me to remember what I believe and to keep my energy high and positive.

This is a lovely way to look at things - long may it continue

Oh, Spring! Thank you for your kind words!
I am glad I have come to a point where I truly do KNOW these things, not just hope or believe, but know.

Awww, Anna! I'm so glad to hear you say that!

Just read your meditation phrase today and I think that I'll start practicing that too. I do agree that "like attracts like" and I need to make an attempt to be more positive. :)

Thank you, Joywish!
Juan, your story is a wonderful testament to the way life can be when we live consciously with awareness of how we manifest our thoughts into being, and with intention behind the creation of our lives.
What a blessing that you and your wife found each other--but it is no surprise! I'm sure you each visualized what you would want in a life's partner first.
