Its a Snow Day

Its a total blizzard here in northeast Wyoming. Winds of 40-60 mph, snowing so hard you can't see across the street, drifts over the tops of the cars outside. It just started this morning at 6 AM and we are supposed to have 16-22 inches of snow by 6 AM tomorrow. So, yes, the kids and I are having a full on snow day... hanging out in PJ's, sitting by the fireplace, playing board games, having hot chocolate, the whole nine yards. Its really nice because we were gone to a dance competition for the last three days, with all of its running around, costume changes, tears and smiles. So this is a total reversal of that craziness! Funny thing is that just yesterday it was 71 degrees outside, LOL. Must be spring time in Wyoming!

"If you don't like the weather in Wyoming just wait an hour, it'll change." I can't count the times I've heard that. We even got snow on the 4th of July one year. We were all very disappointed, thats the day we would play baseball so we had to wait until the next year...

Blizzard warning just posted for tonight and tomorrow. 14-19 inches expected with 30-50 mph winds. Looks like a couple more snow days. I am so ready for summer!

I was thinking about taking a snow day, too! Even though it's 75 and sunny here. Oh well....:o)

DC... lucky you! I don't think I'll be doing that for a couple of.... months! LOL

MizzBlue- Thanks, I love it here too. Always have, although as I get older, I wish I was somewhere warmer.
mtvlm- HAHA You obviously know Wyoming. I can't see the chain right now because of the blowing snow, but I am sure that it is at a 90 degree angle....

Sounds right, got a sis-in-law in Cheyenne.
