I Used to Take Anti-depressant...

I used to take anti-depressants because I was told I had a chemical imbalance in my brain,  but I do believe (in my case) that trying to control your happiness with pharmaceuticals doesn't work.  I find a network of good friends and a healthy social life keeps things ticking over just nicely.  If you have people telling you they love you and that you're fab every now and then, you can't fail to feel good about things.  Who cares if you have a rubbish job and no pension/future/hope.....lol

Hey. I am happy that you have a positive outlook. My doctor prescribed anti depressants for depression and severe anxiety. I have struggled in terms of anxiety but I am not depressed. A few days ago I threw out the anti depressants. I will just take every day as it comes. If you need somebody to talk to I would be happy to listen")

I love your attitude. Sometimes doctors just give pills, it's like the easiest thing for them to do, right? however I feel that some people really need meds like bipolar people and stuff, but if you feel that you can really be happy without the meds I'm really happy for you ! :D
