i enjoy standing around tall people....makes me feel short

Let's see ... there's people always asking how tall you are, in check out lines, elevators or just randomly in the street; or sometimes just the looks and little remarks you half hear after walking past; bumping your head! on door jambs, low beams ...; smiling politely at tall jokes; finding clothes that fit; long enough beds; too low chairs; and that's just the surface ...

But then, stand tall - we can reach stuff!; people literally look up to us; we're given responsibility and we're immediately noticed (double-edged, those); we're above armpit height on crowded subways; we have an immediate subject of conversation; we can see above others at concerts (although it annoys those behind) ...

People assume height is an advantage - I think that mostly it is, but dealing with the less easy parts may help empathise with others who are ob<x>jectified or looked at only in relation to their physical presence, as well as those who truly are less fortunate; and give opportunities to acquire other skills in diplomacy and social engagement.
I'm about your height.
