Lights Out

I lived in Gambia, West Africa for a short while with absolutely no electricity or running water. Reading was done by candlelight. I had to go to the pump for water and carry the bucket on my head.  God bless the USA!

We tend to take a lot of things for granted. Thanks for sharing this story. I feel very blessed that my life and possessions are plentiful compared to many.

Wow. I can't really imagine living like that. What was it like in South Africa?
