& in my opinion, that's what makes the best boss, the one who can lead a team.

With love and concern for their opinions and encourages them when they stumble as we all do from time to time. The trick is that they see how you work and that becomes the model. So, you better set a good one.

Excellent view point. You sound like a good boss to work for.
I like it and have used it myself. I've also learned that the Boss shouldn't be afraid to do the same work as his/her employees and get their 'hands dirty' too.
Leadership comes in many forms but leadership by example is best. -
One person said a good leader is someone who finds out where everyone wants to go and then walks in front of them. Maybe to be the first on in the minefield?

Sometimes that may be the result. The real emphasis is to get them through it and to the other side together. That's also one of the hardest parts of leadership.

Yes, it reminds me of my Army days. You go over the top in front of the men if you're a leader and order them over if you're a coward.
