143 Days To Go...

Well, seeing as how we started off with 240... 143 doesn't seem soooo bad... Still stinks though...

Anyway, my hubby called last night! Our 6 month wedding Anniversary is tomorrow and he knew he wouldn't be able to call then... He just wanted to remind me that he loves me and I am an awesome wife! lol! (even if he has been gone 3 out of the 6 months we have been married). I guess he is getting extended and that really had me down in the dumps but then I got a letter in the mail from him today! I swear God is amazing. He knew I needed something to help me through this and as always, he provided. As much as my husband being gone stinks I am developing a closer relationship with God and getting a better idea of who I am as an individual, not just as a wife, sister, daughter, friend etc.

Ps. I had to by a step stool.... :( with out my 6 1/2 foot tall husband, I can't reach anything... lol

If my husband raised his hand for a deployment I would have killed him lol. But we have known since September that he'd leave in April or May. Our window right now is between the middle of November until the first or second week in December. It started out as last few days in October to the beginning of November but oh well. <br />

I am really selective too and before the military I didn't have very many friends at all but it is amazing how close you can become with people when you are thrown into this type of situation.<br />

Anyway, hope all is going well for you!<br />

@jnicole03 welcome to military life! lol! Extensions are just when they guys who are deployed end up having to stay past the date they had originally given us on his deployment orders. They can be extended by a day, a week, a few weeks, months.... I am pretty lucky that my husband is only supposed to be extended a few weeks.<br />

@raysgal I am sorry he is deployed again. I am sure he wishes he were here with you. It is awesome that he will be non-deployable when you get to your next station. Where are you guys headed? I know there are a lot of wives out there who give the rest of us a bad name but just know they aren't the majority! Out here at camp pen I have about 20 friends who are military wives and they are all amazing people! Just be very picky about who you become friends with!!! <br />

I hope you ladies have a wonderful Sunday!! <br />

I actually work in my FRO's office as an assistant.... As of now they can't say much but I know that he wont be coming home when we thought he would. Which I guess I had kind of expected anyway :(<br />

Some of the other wives and I count down by Friday's and after tomorrow we will only have about 17 more friday's with out them (if they come back when we originally though otherwise we might have to add 3 more Friday's too it)<br />

Deployment life is rough but if you only think about the negatives, it only gets worse. If you turn it into a positive time goes by faster and is a more positive experience.<br />

Where are you living during all this? I didn't go home so I am still at Camp Pendleton!
