This story really caught my eye because my husbands going through the same thing even from guys his rank and I feel so helpless. They restrict him from going home, jump him, push him down the stairs, tell his highest in command that he wants to quit when he doesn't , they've also threatens him to go to the combat stress station also and quit or else he's gonna get beat up everyday, they speak badly about me just to get to him, they steal his stuff and break it, they make him run errands like get thier food even when he's off spending time with me. I've heard of troops committing suicide cause of this and they've even told him go kill yourself. Idk what to do! My husband doesn't want me to talk and tell anyone but I want it to stop. He already has stress about being a rifleman in infantry and getting deployed this September. I know for a fact thus isn't right cause they took a class about this in bootcamp. Please help

My man ended up filing a report. The incident turned out to be worse then originally thought. Tell him to keep his head up I know it's hard but all you can do is stick beside him. I'm here if you need to chat

Everyone is my boyfriends platoon haze each other but they consider it a tradition. For one of their friend's birthdays they took his fin--I think its like the scuba fin-- & pulled down his pants & they each took turns wacking him 21 times (20 'cause it was his 20th birthday & 1 for good luck!) The guy got pissed off but it will be someone else's turn soon & he will participate. But that's really the only thing he's told me about--he knows I get upset with stupid things like that lol.

That's so stupid!! they are supposed to be an elite brotherhood not fighting with one another. SMH its so childish. I hope everything goes okay with your boyfriend. im sure he doesnt wanna worry you to much but I would be pissed off stuff like that is going on.

My boyfriend said last night they had a mentoring class or something over it, I didn't even know it was an issue until he said that! I'm so sorry, I hope he's okay...apparently from what Jeremy was saying that is NOT supposed to be happening at all! I agree with you, they fight our enemies, they shouldn't have to fight with each other! Hope everything turns out okay :(

Hazing happens all the time, but in some places like 29 palms you get in huge trouble for doing it. Because it was so bad there they finally decided to do something about it, like I guess someone got pushed off a balcony and died or something I dunno exactly what though. My boyfriend has gotten in trouble for hazing before and I told him good because he shouldn't be doing it. I guess the more you get hazed when you're a boot makes you want to haze other people. mine doesn't do it anymore, especially since the consequences in his unit are really bad. When my man was a boot they made him say "nom nom nom" while he was eating, all the time every single time he ate a bite. It gets worse but he didn't want to tell me it all. It sucks, but there's nothing he can really do about it unless he tells someone and then the seniors might be upset with him about it. I'm sorry I know it's lame.

Alex is at SOI and he mentioned hazing, but that they do not tolerate it at all!! One of the guys he is with claimed that he was hazed bc he was asleep on firewatch and got caught and he got punished by the clerks or something like that and later he went and told the Sgts and got EVERYONE in trouble bc of it. It might be done between his peers and him, but I doubt a Sgt or anyone higher would. I might be wrong tho... Either way I hope your bf recovers and is ok!!

How was he hazed? That kind of stuff typically does not go on over there. I have been to the middle east 5 times now and each time was at least 6 months. I have never seen or heard anyone getting hazed while there.
