I Just Have To Get All Of This Off My Chest.

Tommy and I broke up in December... and everything has changed. We don't speak, we're not friends and we're barely civil.

While he was in Meridian he started seeing this girl, while we were still together. He constantly told me it was nothing, that they were just friends. Then they started hanging out all the time, and I called him out on it and broke up with him. Then he claimed he had bought me an engagement ring when I tried to break up with him. Well 3 days later as he was leaving MS his facebook status changed to "engaged" to the girl that he had been seeing...
they broke up and he tried to come back to me, and we went back and forth for a while. Until I met someone else who made me happy, and I started dating them.

I just can't forgive him for what he did, and all the hurtful things he said to me. I will never get over any of that.

    It sounds like he just wants to be married to have the title of being a husband. He is clearly not mature enough to actually even be in a relationship. I would cut ties with him. Be civil if you see him in public. (and by that I mean smile and wave).

    As for you being hurt, I understand that completely and your right, you may never get over that. But the thing about life is not letting things like that get to you. Learn from them instead. Now you know certain qualities you do not want and that you do want in your husband. You need to look at what you have learned from this relationship and be thankful that you now have that knowledge. It may hurt for a while. And you may become much more picky on who you allow into your heart and be single longer. But if you learn from your mistakes and not let them damage you, you can find someone who deserves you. And who will treat you right. Be strong! Best of luck
