Real-Life "Notebook"

I am new to all this, but I figured I would tell our story.  We have often discussed how our love has very much resembled that of Ally and Noah's in The Notebook.

I first met Jon when I was 14 and he was 18, and we dated for a while, and wound up breaking up.  We've kept in touch through the years, from his high school graduation to joining the Marines to his deployments.  He was getting ready to marry another woman when we started talking to each other again.  It's been almost six years now since we dated each other, and we've loved each other ever since.  I randomly started talking to him one day while he was on R&R in Qatar during his deployment.  We talked for hours for four or five days when we finally realized that both of us had pretty much the same feelings for one another.  From then it was just the problem of breaking off relationships so that we could be happy and back together.  We have been dating since January 2o, and we will finally be able to see each other again in March when he's flying me to Iowa, where we're both from, and we have a month that he's on leave to spend together....And we are also getting MARRIED while he's on leave.  I know that a lot of people will probably think that we've moved pretty fast, but after knowing and loving one another for longer than 6 years, we've both realized that we want to be married and finally get the chance to spend the rest of our lives together.

Well that's pretty much our story, I love this Marine more than life itself, and I am so happy that we've finally found each other at the right time in our lives to actually be together.  I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this wonderful, amazing man...My personal Marine, My angel.
