My Storynthe

I met Cody on December 31st at a party. Our first kiss was at midnight and I fell in love. He is originally from Tampa, Florida but is now stationed in Pennelton, California. The problem is, he is getting kicked out under a pattern of misconduct. For a DUI they are locking him up in the base brig for a month and after that, when he's done with his package, he's going home to Florida to live with his family while he goes through school. I'm planning on moving out there in a year when I get my life completely straight. What scares me, is that his past is in Florida, including his ex girlfriend. He's hoping to stay together for a year while he's out where his family is and I'm in San Diego, where I have nothing but friends for support. I'm scared to face my insecurity of losing someone I love. But I know it's something I'll have to face. How do you girls cope with any of this?

You're all brave, and I admire everyone one of you.

I'm 19 years old. When I made my account I filled everything out really quickly. Palm 29 my account is still here and pulling this **** off just makes you look like a fool. The reason I asked you girls for advice is because you deal with your boyfriends leaving from deployments all the time! And Cody, well, happened to be a marine. I don't think I would waste time writing out a fictional story about my **** up boyfriend, but thanks Alexis you're a ******* angel. I came here with a question and left with answers. But thanks, at least some of you were helpful.

lol alexis i just searched her & there is no by that name anymore! she deleted her account!

hahah thats true girly.. Its a difficult word for people to write out. lol

but yeahh.. even if this is a true story.... why are you asking us for advice?? It has nothing to do with being a marine girlfriend... sureee we know all about long distance relationships but ours are with responsible men.. so i dont see how we can help you..
my advice... run!

You all have good points, and you're right about the not being up to my standards. There's a story behind the DUI. It wasn't a charge on him, his friends were driving and ratted him out when they left for Iraq on this last deployment. He got stuck in the middle of it, and is now charged with it because of the hit and run that THEY committed. And before anything, I have my life straight; I'm going to school, I work two jobs and I'm moving out soon. I'm young but yet determined on this boy. I'm not comparing, I just need advice. He's changed since the DUI, it's been a long process because of the paperwork. He's clean, barely drinks anymore, and claims to know what he wants. Its just about trust, about his ex back in Florida and about committing to a man who's leaving for a year. Money wise we'll be fine considering he'll be living with his parents back home (pfffff), while he finishes off school. I'll be doing my own thing and I think it'll help me focus on what I have going on here. But I think that when you love someone, and in reality I have learned what it is to love someone, I think you just do what you have to do to be with that person. I'm a young girl, with a whole life in front of me, with an education and a job, and love but I've got nothing to lose. And the only reason I take the time to as you about this is because if that's what it takes, I'll lose it for Cody.
