LONELY Days

IM A NEWLY-WED AND MY HUSBAND LEFT FOR BOOTCAMP 3 WEEKS AGO AND ITS BEEN REALLY HARD ON ME. EVERYDAY I LOOK AT THE CALENDER TRYING TO MAKE THE WEEKS SEEM SHORTER, BUT I ALWAYS END UP FACING REALITY. I FEEL SO LONELY KNOWING THAT I CANT HEAR MY BESTFRIEND'S VOICE OR THAT I CANT TOUCH OR SEE HIM.

HOWEVER, GETTING LETTERS FROM HIM EVERY OTHER DAY IS RELIEVING.

I WANT TO FIND WAYS TO COPE WITH THE DISTANCE?.....ANY ADVICE ANYONE?????

Hey girl =] I def. have to agree that the first 3 weeks were the hardest for me, too. It's hard adjusting your days so abruptly without you signifcant other there to even talk to. I'm going on week 8 of mine being off at bootcamp. It's def. hard to cope especially when others around you don't understand. That's why this website is so awesome. What I do to help pass the hard times is stay super busy with my family, friends, and school. Writing is an awesome idea. It's really a huge relief because sometimes you just get caught up in your feelings and emotions and you don't feel like talking to anyone but you need to get them out or they will overwhelm you. So just keep a journal or somthing and write in it whenever your mind starts wandering and you get upset. Other than that, just realize that the longer he is gone, the closer he is to coming home.

hahahahahhaa the birds! I'm terrified of birds, so I just resort to watching the squirrels harass the birds at the feeder.
sorry I actually lied I dont actually watch animals. I DO write a lot lot lot though. I think it's such an emotional relief to write down what you feel, even if you dont send it. I can't honestly tell you it will get easier though, you may become numb to it, but it never goes away until the glorious EAS (an angelic chior is now singing).. unless he reenlists. but GOOD LUCK! be strong! and welcome.
And I can tell you that the girls on this site are a big help, I completely understand what you are going through Josh (my man) will be completing Boot in 12 days and it has not been easy but I have to say that the 1st 3 weeks where the worst so things will get better because you will get used to not having him 24/7....
As far as things to do all I have been doing is chillin with family and SHOPPING MYSELF INTO A DEEEEEEP HOLE LOL!

Do you like to watch birds if you have a home, or ground floor apartment? When my wife is gone for many hours , I watch the birds, at my bird feeder. This is just an idea since I get loney for my wife a volunteer at a school workshop
