Hey all yall wonderful ladies,

I gotta say that were all extremely unique women and that its nice to get some recognition!

Anyway, I hope that everyone had a great weekend and an enjoyable Valentines day...mines wasn't the greatest, but it happens.  My marine has been sick with a stomach bug since wednesday, its been hittin everyone so it hasn't been all that great for him. Yuck, lol.

I was wondering if any of yall have heard about an early 3 month release that is available to marines. My marine heard about it thru other marines that you can get out 3 months earlier than your final release date. Since he's done with active duty Aug 2010 it would mean that he could possibly get out by May 2010, I gotta say that its a great option BUT Im wondering what stipulations there might be?

Any info would be helpful.

Thats informative, but do you happen to know what you need to do in order to take advantage of it?

My husband and I have heard about this and it isn't for education purposes. The USMC has more Marines enlisted than they can pay for. The 3 month early release will allow them to cut back on enlisted Marines. In 2010 or 2011, they are taking 500 less Marines than usual. It will now be harder for people to re-up because of the overflow. If you subscribe to Marine Corps Times, you can be informed on upcoming events and the news in general. I hope this helps.

Is this early release for education??

Hmm, I havent heard anything about that. My husband has a lot of leave saved up and is planning on taking a month or two of terminal leave. He gets out this fall. I'll have to see if I can find anything out about it.
