Will They Always Get Deployed ?

My boyfriend just joined the army he is in processing will be leaving for basic on friday at Ft Benning is what he said then after he graduates i know hes coming home for a little while and i was wondering after he leaves home what is he gonna do ? Do they always get deployed or whatever or what ? Im so confused hoping that he doesnt have to get deployed
