Much Older Brother

I'm am the youngest, and my brother is 12 years older than me. It was nice when I was younger, but not so much these days. He acted more like another dad, which I didn't like, esp. since I already had overprotective parents. Plus my parents still made my brother responsible for me even when I was already an adult:/

    Thanks everyone for the comments! Yes I do want to let my family know that I'm responsible enough to make my own decisions. I know they won't change but at least my attitude about the situation can.

    My brother and I are 7 years apart. My older brother acted like a father too, up till 3 years back where he finally gave up. We're not in talking terms now, but he stays out of my life. I'm not saying I'm liking it but he doesn't give a damn about what I do now, which is good for me. You should talk to him and your parents before the situation gets out of control, like mine. Tell them your old enough to make your own decisions be it right/wrong.

    That's so wrong...yet so common.



    You're an adult. Time for your family to realize that. Make that point by calling an official meeting & tell them what's what.
