Pride Comes Before A Fall

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living.

I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.

I'm confessing that I stumble and need God to be my guide.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.

I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.

I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect.

My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain.

I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,

I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

Pretty is as Pretty does but, Beautiful is just plain Beautiful.

I am not perfect, I am human and with being human I posess certain traits and "faults' (read my postings) I am no better or worse than anyone else, I believe very much in God, but this is how I feel and out of respect I am not going to force my beliefs or veiws down anyones throat. I have my own Personal relationship with God and that is between God and me. God understands me even if no one else does and I'm fine with that. I don't need someone to tell me how I should feel, they don't have all the answers, they are like all the other countless souls in this journey of life, they got no advanced planning of it. How we chose to see life and all is our own decision, be each comfortable in their own beliefs, they are not mine and mine not theirs and in the end even if they don't believe it is their choice. I just happen to feel comfortable with my feeling.
