Why Do I Do It?

It doesn't matter what it is, if it doesn't make sense and isn't logical, I have to question it. Obviously there are some things in life you have to have logical explanations for, and you need to find some sense somewhere in things, but the main annoyance I have with being too logical for my own good, comes into play when I'm watching something on the TV or a film. I can be watching a film for instance and a character in it will do something or say something that just doesn't have any logic or sense to it, and I'm on it like a fly on ****! It's out of my mouth before I've even considered my options, because I HAVE to mention it. I hate sometimes that this is the way my mind works, because often it spoils the simple enjoyment of watching something, and annoys my husband to death, can't say I blame him really.

It frustrates me at times, when there is a logical way to do something, and the person doing it does it the hard way, and makes what should have been perfectly simple complicated. It's not that I'm a know all, because I will be the first to put my hand up and say I'm not, it's just that I'm made in such a way I have to think things through and then utilize the most logical answer. Whether it's a product of my upbringing I can only speculate, but personally I think it is. I'm sure you know what I mean, when you think of things that you've experienced others doing or saying, and thought to your self "wtf"! I find myself saying things like " didn't I say if you did it this way" or  " well I would have done....". I mean is it just me who is like this, always looking for the logic in things, or is it just that I merely think too much and can't just let things be what they are?

Finally someone who understands me!!! That's just made my day, thank you.

This habit is not a result of being "too logical". Noting logical inconsistencies in a script etc shows that you are paying attention. Good for you! If you feel the need to vocalize your observations in the presence of other folks you may be seeking validation. If on the other hand you talk back to the TV or radio when alone then you're as crazy as I am!
