I Line Dry My Clothes... Inside!

I've read the benefits of sun drying clothes and how they outweigh a clothes dryer. Just google it :). My husband and I are allergic to a few things outdoors such as pollen. Our solution? We have many windows in our dining room so we've tucked a clothesline system behind our curtains that we unwind after we wash (in cold/homemade laundry detergent) and then hang out clothes. We don't have any neighbors across the street and just found out that a church bought that field, yay for not embarrasing my kids while my clothes air drying indoor 1920's style during the day. I take them down before they get home and even on the occasional weekends so far they are used to my system and don't mind.

    You mention homemade laundry detergent and kids in the same post. Does the homemade laundry detergent really get out the stains that kids have on clothes? I have 3 boys that have grass stains and food stains on clothes all the time which has kept me from trying homemade laundry detergent.

    You can also do it in Vinager! I can't spell this late, but it does the same thing and it great to clean other things', also!
