Help Me Loose 100 Pounds


I'm a single mom with lots of stress from my children and doctor said loose weight you will feel better so I'm 220 right and would like to drop 100 pounds I have my adult daughter that loves to bring me junk food over not much support for me and my kids just say that I'm fat get it off they are 10 and 7 both boy's so were do I start this..

Weight is all about input versus output. Just like any other machine, the human body will store fuel if it has too much put in and not anough taken out. You've heard of eating your 5 fruit and veg a day? It is also importand to exercise 5 times a week. 30 mins of exercise does not mean you need to go to the gym or go for a run. By exercise I mean that you become slightly out of breath, your heart rate accelerates and your skin starts to glow. Taking a walk (not a stroll), gardening, even housework - all of things will burn energy. If you can visit a gym or class twice a week, great. But take it one day at a time. Don't go at 100mph, then give up.<br />

Fad diets do not work on a long term basis. In the UK we have a company called 'Slimming World' which is absolutely fantastic and very supportive. This is not a quick fix, this is a change in your lifestyle. Certain foods are called SuperSpeed foods and will help you to lose quicker. This healthy eating plan is different to 'diets' because you can eat soooooooo much food. My family was amazed at how much food I was eating, actually ate more food on this plan than I did beforehand. I was never hungry and I didn't crave foods that weren't deemed good for me, because I could still have my treats.<br />

I will give you a some very valuable tips that not many people know:<br />
Drink a glass of water before you eat, every time, and then refill your glass to sip with your meal or snack. You will find that you are fuller quicker and your body will digest your food quicker and easier.<br />
Put your knife and fork down between each mouthful and concentrate on your chewing. All to often people will put food in their mouths and not realise how much they're eating. How many times have you sat in front of the TV with a packet of biscuits and the next thing you know you've eaten them all?<br />
Eating can become a habit; something to do when you're bored or unhappy. Each time you fancy a snack, wait 10 minutes. After that 10 minutes make yourself something - don't just grab a packet of crisps or a chocolate bar, but actually take the time to make yourself something. That way, you'll stop eating by way of feeling sad, because you'll have to put in the effort to get your fix.<br />
Really listen to your body, nine times out of ten, you're not really hungry, you just fancy something. If you feel like this, then get up and do a job that you've been putting off; anything that will keep your mind occupied.<br />
Don't starve yourself. Too many people believe that if they eat less they will lose weight. This is simply a short term goal and can cause serious health problems. Not to mention the fact that your hair, skin and nails will all suffer. If the body has to go without food for any length of time, it starts to panic. Every time you eat afterwards, the body will store up the fat for the next famine. You may start to lose weight, but as soon as you start eating, the fat will pile on which kind of defeats the ob<x>ject.<br />
Certain foods you can eat all day long and you'll still lose weight. If you visit the Slimming World website at: www.slimmingworld.com you will find a heap of 'free foods' that will satisfy your appetite.<br />
Stay positive. If you slip up (which you are bound to do) don't just give in and say "Oh well, I might as well eat the lot". Remember that tomorrow is another day and you can start again.<br />

How is losing weight going to make you feel better? Yes it's better for your physical health but not necessarily for you mentally. Losing weight is SO hard. I know, i've struggled for the last year or so. My weight is increasing because i'm inactive due to pain. Eating is like an addiction, it's just as hard to control as smoking, drinking, drugs.<br />
