Aren't We All?

Let me begin by saying that I am in no way unhappy; I am simply very aware that life is short, and that the pursuit of happiness for yourself and others and those to come after you is the most important quest we can undertake. Nothing is more fulfilling in our brief existence than to be happy and to make others happy.

So smile! It really will brighten your day and the day of everyone around you. Happiness is a state of mind as much as depression and while I am in no way devaluing the effects that depression has, or saying that it's all in the head, a positive outlook, even if it's forced at first, can take you a long way.

I agree that happiness is a choice. Some people find this choice easy while others struggle. I believe we should treat happiness as a goal just as we would other goals in our life. One must have a plan for happiness and work the plan.

I like your way of thinking. And i believe it.. but everything is always easier said then done..
My father once said something to me, and i find it very good advice. He basically said that when you're sad, just smile and even if its forced, you'll start to believe you are happy, and ultimately BE happy.
