Jeans That Fit!

I was clearing out some old clothes a few evenings ago, and came across some items (still in packaging) that my wife had bought for me a few Christmases ago. There were a couple of shirts and quite a few pairs of jeans. My wife had bought these for me thinking I was a particular size, but unfortunately I had put on some weight. I had tried on one of the pairs of jeans and just could not get into them. I was left upset, and so was my wife. I didn't have the heart to ask my wife to get them exchanged, and I vowed to lose some weight. The jeans were put into my wardrobe, and were eventually forgotten about.

Any way, fast forward back to the present day. I thought it would be such a shame and a waste to throw out these clothes. We have a number of charity shops in our area, so I considered donating them. I started a pile of "charity" clothes and carried on sorting out my wardrobe.

Out of the corner of my eye, one pair of jeans inparticular kept catching my attention. They were an unusual shade of blue and very smart (casual smart, but smart none-the-less). "What the heck," I thought. "I'm going to try them on."

I have a problem with jeans and tighter fitting clothes. Being a cyclist (and a rather large one) I struggle to find jeans that accomodate my thighs comfortably. I am very self concious about my legs, and I prepared myself for the worst as I stepped into my new old jeans.

As I pulled them up, they eased over my thighs, and buttoned up without the need for me to breathe in! In fact, I still had room to spare! I grabbed a belt, buckled up, and did a couple of laps around the house, up and down the stairs making sure they weren't too tight. I spent the next half an hour doing the same thing with the others. They all fit!

I now have lots of going out clothes, and proof that I have lost weight. Woo hoo. I just hope they don't shrink in the wash, or I'll be back to square one!!!

Congratulations. Keep the weight in check, then.
