Motivation Needed ..

I'm 16, 5'3, and 146 pounds. I have felt over weight for the past two years and it doesn't help that my dad calls me fat and a pig when I am at my worst times. I stick to a diet for a while, but after a period of time when I don't see my progress, I quit. I get depressed and eat more than I did before I started to diet. I try to work out at least three times a week when I diet, but I don't like doing it alone, I can only stick to it when a family member or close friend does it with me. I just need someone to give me some motivation. I am sick of being depressed and feeling over weight. I need help. Please give me some motivation.

keep yourself active by doing something in your spare time.<br />

CUT THE SUGAR/SALT in the food you eat.<br />
order a salt free meal and add little before you eat.<br />

drink natural juices and avoid concentrates they are full of sugar.<br />

if you can afford buy from your drug store a detoxification treatment and it will clean your large intestine from bad acids they build up and clog the walls with bad feeling.<br />

try a simple habit drink a glass of water every morning before you brush your teeth...before you brush your teeth,<br />

Also -- starving your body will actually cause you to lose no weight... as your body will shut down and not burn fat. You need to have a balanced diet that leaves you satisfied and not hungry.

OK --- deep breath ... you are not a failure... sometimes things take time. What I suggest is you set small goals first --- such as losing 2 pounds in two weeks. then when you reach that goal, set another. <br />

As for your diet -- focus on replacing items that cause you to gain or retain weight -- such as sodas, carbs ect....if you have a craving, try chewing gum. Also when you have a chance walk more...
