Update On My Turning 50 On 9/15/09.

n Sunday the 20th my wife had a huge surprise party for my 50th. It just blew my oars out of the water. Not one single person gave any hint that something was planned. It's the first time any one planned a surprise party for me and got away with it. I have one hell of a good bunch of family and friends!!!!!!!!! My wife and kids even tried to find a project Jeep for me but the deal fell through at the last minute.....No I'm not upset, the thought and love was there!!!!
Now that 50 has had a couple of weeks to sink in along with the comments on my first story.......I am going back to school to get my RN. Due to finances I will be waiting until next summer to start and I may even end up in some of the same classes as my step-daughter, which I would find very funny and I'm sure she will not find all that funny. But it will allow her to see another side of me and may assist in our relationship.
I have an older step-daughter who is getting married in Aug 2010 so my wife and I are working on getting our weight down together. We both have health issues that are moderate so we have our doctors talking to each other so we can continue to work as a team on the weight issue.
Thanks to everyone who offered words of encouragement and the figurative kick in the behind.

I will be 59 come this Nov so next year i will celebrate my 60th WOW where has the time gone i still feel 21 LoL have fun sweetie in all you do...hugs   |
